Pinterest launched “Promote a Pin” on March 24, 2026. This new tool lets creators and small businesses boost a single Pin right from the app with just a few taps. No ad experience needed.
How it works for creators
Pick an existing Pin, set a daily budget and campaign length, and the AI handles targeting. It uses Pinterest’s Taste Graph—trained on billions of images—to show your Pin to users likely to engage or buy. You get estimated results upfront and real-time tracking to tweak as you go.
For example, a fashion creator could boost a capsule wardrobe Pin to reach more shoppers. TechCrunch reports Pinterest’s chief business officer Lee Brown called it a step to “remove barriers and deliver simple, powerful tools.”
The reach behind it
Pinterest has 619 million active users doing over 80 billion searches a month—more than half commercial. That means boosted Pins tap into people already hunting for ideas like yours. Innovation Village describes Promote a Pin as using AI-driven tools to grow engagement and reach new audiences easily. PPC Land notes the platform hit 600 million MAU in Q3 2025 with revenue up 17% year-over-year.
